Naomi L. Neihart, 87, of Bloomfield, passed away at 1 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 6, 2005 at Bloomington Hospital.
Born May 13, 1917 in Worthington, she was the daughter of Charles and Dora (Williams) DeFrees. In September 1934, she married Clarence Neihart.
She was a clerk for Williams Clothing Store in Bloomfield and attended Bloomfield First Baptist Church.
Survivors include: two sons, John Neihart and his wife Leova of Martinsville, and Larry Neihart and his wife Ruth Ann of Bloomington; one daughter Joan Vaughn and her husband Dick of Bloomfield; one sister Mary Shafer of Bloomfield; one brother Bill DeFrees of Hot Springs, Ariz.; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Clarence, three brothers, Harold, John and Dick, and three sisters, Ruth, Martha, and Lucy.
Funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday at Jenkins & Sons Funeral Home, Bloomfield, with the Rev. Brent and Patti Meyer officiating. Burial will be in Worthington Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. on Wednesday, and one hour prior to the service Thursday at the funeral home.
