Georgia Ailene Casner, 88, of Bloomfield, passed away at 5:15 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 12, 2005 at Bell Trace Health & Living Center.
Born Nov. 2, 1916 in Greene County, she was the daughter of Thomas and Josephine (McDaniel) Miller. She had been married to Charles (Link) Casner, who passed away Dec. 30, 2004.
She retired from RCA, where she had been a tester. She was a member of Newark Baptist Church, Greene County Extension, and Farmers Wives.
Survivors include: one son Charles Raymond Casner of Bloomfield; a sister Betty Kathleen Harris of Bloomington; one sister-in-law Laverne Miller of Bloomington; six grandchildren, Bobby Drake of Bedford, Lisa Cowden of Spencer, Sandra Fulford of Bloomfield, Linda Casner-Eads of Bloomfield, Jeff Casner of Spencer, and Donnie Gambill of Linton; and five great-grandchildren, Whitney Drake of Bedford, Dawn Stryner of Boston, Mass., Teri Billhimer of Spencer, Amanda Harkness of Bloomfield, and Shelby Eads of Bloomfield.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Charles (Link) Casner, and three brothers, Gilbert, Boyd, and Guy Miller.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. on Tuesday at Jenkins & Sons Funeral Home, Bloomfield, with the Rev. Paul Vance Casner and the Rev. Bill Doane officiating. Burial will be in Newark Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. today, and from 10 a.m. on Tuesday until the hour of service at the funeral home.
