Joyce Mae Crane, 94, of Bloomfield, passed away at 5:55 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 10, 2005 at Greene County General Hospital.
Born Dec. 31, 1910 in Martin County, she was the daughter of Ira and Viola (Hamilton) Bruce. She had been married to Roy Crane, who passed away Dec. 24, 1984.
She was a homemaker and had lived in Martin, Lawrence, Daviess, and Greene counties. She was of the Baptist faith. She enjoyed visits and phone calls from family and friends.
Survivors include: two sons, Murl and his wife Hazel Crane of Sullivan, and Edward and his wife Sherry Crane of Bloomfield; four daughters, Evelyn and her husband Leslie Correll of Punta Gorda, Fla., Maxine and her husband Gene Deckard of Bloomfield, Imogene and her husband Keith Loehr of Bloomfield, and Judy Gambill of Linton; one sister Ruth Inman of Bloomfield; 22 grandchildren; 47 great-grandchildren; 21 great-great grandchildren; two great-great-great grandchildren; three nieces; and one nephew.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Roy Crane; two daughters, Lois Marie and Catherine Louise Crane; a sister; a brother; a grandson; and three great-grandsons.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. today at Jenkins & Sons Funeral Home, Bloomfield, with the Rev. Myron Young and the Rev. Howard Sewell officiating. Burial will be in Prairie Chapel Cemetery, Lyons.
Visitation was Sunday from 4-8 p.m., and today one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
