Minnie Sowders Bryant, 90, of Linton and formerly of Middlesboro, Ky., passed away at 2:43 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 15, 2005 at Greene County General Hospital, Linton.
Born July 30, 1914 in Middlesboro, she was the daughter of James Rowe and Mary (Raines) Marsee. She had been married to John Swell Sowders and Earl Bryant, both of whom preceded her in death.
She was an LPN at Pineville, Ky., and was a member of Bingham Town Baptist Church of Middlesboro.
Survivors include: one son Arthur and his wife Sue Sowders of Bloomfield; six grandchildren, Doug Sowders of Bloomfield, Autumn Johnson of Solsberry, Tony Jones of Knoxville, Tenn., Terry Jones of Knoxville, Tenn., Jerry Jones of Maynardville, Tenn., and Connie Dishman of Middlesboro, Ky.; a son-in-law Merl Jones of Middlesboro, Ky.; and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband John Sowders, her second husband Earl Bryant, a daughter Edna Jones, two brothers, Clay and Roland Marsee, and a sister Essie Marsee.
Graveside service will be conducted Saturday at Green Hills Memorial Cemetery, Middlesboro, Ky., with Bro. William Boyd Bingham officiating.
There will be no public visitation.
