Marshall King Jr., 80, of Lyons, passed away at 8 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 19, 2005, at Greene County General Hospital, Linton.
Born March 27., 1924 in Indianapolis, he was the son of Marshall King Sr. and Alice Marley King.
He was an electrical mechanic at NWSC Crane and a World War II veteran of the U.S. Navy. He was a member of the Lyons Free Methodist Church where he served as a superintendent, Sunday School teacher, and trustee.
Survivors include: his wife Norma Jane (Rich) King of Lyons; four sons, Donnice King of Lyons, Daniel and his wife Sandy King of Lyons, Gary and his wife Nita King of Bloomfield, and Timothy and his wife Amy King of Lyons; two brothers, Robert King of Ocala, Fla., and Raymond King of Vincennes; one sister Maxine Knoy of Worthington; five grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Phyllis Epperson.
Funeral service will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday at Lyons Free Methodist Church, Lyons with the Rev. Roger Boyd officiating. Burial will be in Prairie Chapel Cemetery, Lyons.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. today at Jenkins & Sons Funeral Home, Lyons, and from 1 p.m. until the hour of service Tuesday at the church.
