Mildred Hastings Casner, 83, of Bloomfield, passed away at 12:45 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 20, 2005 at Lyons Health & Living Center.
Born Dec. 28, 1921 in Daviess County, she was the daughter of Paris and Flossie (Atchley) Hastings.
She was a bookkeeper for Johnsons Creamery from 1965-84. She was a member of the Farmers Wives Club in Greene County and Rural Youth. She was also a member of the Church of Christ in Worthington.
Survivors include: her husband Paul E. Casner of Bloomfield; two sons, Paul V. Casner of Nashville, Tenn. and Bill E. Casner of Kokomo; and two grandchildren, Claire Casner of Kokomo and Colleen Casner of Nashville, Tenn.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Rex and Don Hastings, and two sisters, Clara Hastings and Martha Koons.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. on Wednesday at Jenkins Funeral Home, Bloomfield, with the Rev. Ken Matthews officiating. Burial will be in Newark Cemetery, Newark.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. today, and from 11 a.m. until the hour of service Wednesday at the funeral home
