Odell L. Small, 74, of Bloomfield, passed away at 5:04 a.m. Friday, Dec. 31, 2004 at Greene County General Hospital in Linton.
Born Aug. 10, 1930 in Monroe City, he was the son of Burnell and Stella (Anderson) Small. He married Dorothy (Cox) Small in 1952.
He had been in the U.S. Army and retired from Crane NWSC. He was also a farmer and a member of Antioch Christian Church.
Survivors include: his wife Dorothy (Cox) Small of Bloomfield; one daughter Marilyn and her husband George Dallaire of Doans; three sons, Lee and his wife Dawnee Small of Bloomfield, Michael and his wife Melinda Small of Bloomfield, and Terry R. and his wife Joanne Small of Leesburg, Ga.; grandchildren, Scott and his wife Christina Small of Bloomfield, Donald and his wife Diane Wolfe of Omaha, Neb., Kevin Wolfe of Bloomfield, Nancy Small of Port Smith, Ark., Lori Beth and her husband Brandt Hudson of Bloomfield, Nicole Small of Leesburg, Ga., Kelly Small of Leesburg, Ga., Sarah Small of Bloomfield, Sally Small of Bloomfield, and Taryn Small of Leesburg, Ga.; great-grandchildren, Amber Wolfe, Katie Small, Ashlea Small, Julie Hudson, and Gracie Hudson; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a twin brother Udell and another brother Wayne Small.
Funeral service was at Jenkins Funeral Home, Bloomfield at 11 a.m. today with the Rev. Arlen Pope officiating. Burial will be in Bethany Cemetery at Montgomery. Bloomfield American Legion Post 196 will be performing the service.
Visitation was Sunday and from 10 a.m. until the hour of services today at the funeral home.
