Evelyn F. (Burris) Frayser, 72, of Pendleton and formerly of Dugger, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 26, 2005 at Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie.
Born Feb. 24, 1932 in Dugger, she was the daughter of Donald and Mable (Evans) Burris. On Jan. 14, 1951, she married Leroy Frayser in Dugger.
She was a telephone operator in Pendleton and later owned and operated the Nu You Exercise Salon in Pendleton for several years. She was a 1950 graduate of Union High School, Dugger and an active member of Emmanuel United Methodist Church, Pendleton, where she had served as treasurer. She had lived in Pendleton for 53 years.
Survivors include: her husband of 54 years Leroy Frayser of Pendleton; two children, Brenda and her husband Danny Schnepp of Pendleton and Joe and his wife Sharon Frayser of Indianapolis; two sisters, Shirley and her husband Bob Knew of Shelburn, and Donna and her husband Jack Woodward of Sullivan; six grandchildren, Jeff and his wife Katrina Schnepp, Paul and his wife Jessica Schnepp, Brian and his wife Abby Schnepp, Amanda Frayser, D.J. (Mary Moore) Frayser, and Adam Frayser; eight great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and many special friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and two brothers, Bill and Herb Burris.
Funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Saturday at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service and Crematory, Bright Chapel, 211 E. State St., Pendleton, with Pastor Dale Erwin officiating. Burial will be in Grovelawn Cemetery, Pendleton.
Friends may call from 2-8 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
