WASHINGTON ---- Mary Mumma, 73, of Washington, passed away at 1 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 11, 2004 at Washington Nursing Center.
She was born Jan. 31, 1931 in Indianapolis. Her mother was Mable Boyd. She had been married to Norman Mumma, who passed away June 15, 1982.
She was a homemaker and attended Grace Baptist Church. She had lived the last two years with her daughter.
Survivors include: a daughter Chris Tennis of Washington; two sons, Gary Mumma of Washington and Fred Mumma of Venice, Fla.; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a brother Donald Johnston of Loogootee; two half brothers, Ronald Atchley and Ernest Atchley, Jr., both of Odon; and two half sisters, Ernestine Synder and Linda Hall, both of Odon.
She was preceded in death by her husband Norman Mumma and two half brothers, Morris and Kenneth Atchley.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. on Tuesday at Grace Baptist Church, Washington, with Bro. Jolly Moody, Bro. Jeff Jones and Bro. Lewis Showers officiating. Burial will be in Sugarland Memory Gardens.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. today at Poindexter-Hall & McClure Funeral Home in Washington, and from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the church Tuesday.
