Ernest Allan Bush, 84, of Bloomfield, passed away at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 14, 2004 at Select Medical Hospital, Bloomington.
Born Aug. 20, 1920 in Belmont, he was the son of James Willard and Mary Margaret (Owens) Bush. He had been married to Deloris (Dee) Hardesty Bush, who passed away Oct. 12, 2003.
He was an Army veteran of World War II and had retired from Crane NSWC. He was a member of Bloomfield United Methodist Church, Bloomfield American Legion Post, and Newberry Masonic Lodge, where he was a 50 year member.
Survivors include: one son Mark A. Bush of Bloomfield; one brother Ralph Bush of Sun City, Fla.; five sisters-in-law, Mary K. (Bush) Boston of Nashville, Cloris (Sissie) Hardesty of Bloomfield, Edna Sparks of Bloomfield, Katie Bush of Sun City, Fla., and Margaret Hardesty of Bloomfield; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife Deloris (Dee) Hardesty Bush.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. on Friday at Jenkins Funeral Home, Bloomfield, with the Rev. Lynn Snyder and the Rev. Billy Ed Hostettler officiating. Burial will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 4-8 p.m. today, and from noon until the hour of service Friday. There will be a Masonic Memorial Service at 7:30 p.m. today at the funeral home.
