Charles N. Schulte, 77, of Bloomfield, passed away at 3:25 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 20, 2004 at Glenburn Home in Linton.
Born June 22, 1927 in Dubois County, he was the son of Amos and Hilda Schulte. He was married to Margaret (Link) Schulte.
He was retired, having worked at Holland Dairies, Inc., Bloomfield Distribution Branch manager and REMC dispatcher. He was an Army veteran and a member of VFW Post 6948 in Worthington, the American Legion Post 196 of Bloomfield, and a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Bloomfield.
Survivors include: his wife Margaret Schulte of Bloomfield; three sons, David C. Schulte and his wife Kim of Dahlgren, Va., Douglas A. Schulte and his wife Pam of Bloomfield, and Donald P. Schulte and his wife Susie of Bloomfield; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one brother Clyde Schulte and his wife Doris of Huntingburg; and two sisters-in-law, Lucille Schulte and Melba Schulte, both of Indianapolis.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Clarence and Arthur Schulte, and one sister Melba Bretz.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. on Friday at Jenkins Funeral Home, Bloomfield, with the Rev. Peggy Casteel officiating. Burial will be in Fairmount Cemetery, Huntingburg.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. on Thursday, and from 9 a.m. until the hour of service Friday at the funeral home.
