Rick Shoultz, 40, of Lyons, passed away at 3:22 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 20, 2004 at Good Samaritan Hospital, Vincennes.
Born March 16, 1964 in Daviess County, he was the son of Richard Shoultz and Betty Marie (Davis) Roberts. On Oct. 3, 1987, he married Debbie (Steiner) Shoultz.
Rick, who was nicknamed "Speedbuggy", was an 1982 graduate of Washington High School. He graduated from Oakland City College in 1983 with a degree in auto diesel mechanics. He had been an employee of Steiner & Steiner Trucking, Inc. for the last 17 years. He was a Greene County 4-H leader, sponsoring archery for the past 10 years and a member of ABATE. Motorcycles and archery were his hobbies.
Survivors include: his father Richard of Paisley, Fla.; his wife Debbie Shoultz of Lyons; and his paternal grandmother Ruth Shoultz.
He was preceded in death by his mother Betty Marie (Davis) Roberts, his maternal grandparents Marvie and Sylvia Davis, and his paternal grandfather Bill Shoultz.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. on Thursday at Ed Lee Mortuary, Washington, with Father James Koressel officiating. Burial will be in St. Peter Cemetery in Montgomery.
Friends may call at the mortuary from 4-8 p.m. today, and from 9 a.m. until the time of service Thursday.
