MARTINSVILLE ---- Cathanne Carroll Turley, 64, of Martinsville, passed away at 7:35 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 22, 2004 at Morgan Hospital and Medical Center in Martinsville.
Born Jan. 5, 1940 in Indianapolis, she was the daughter of John Harold and Eleanor Louise (McNamara) Blackwell. On March 17, 1987, she married Dan L. Turley. He passed away April 27, 1996.
She was a 1958 graduate of St. Agnes Academy in Indianapolis and attended Purdue University. She was the office administrator at the Martinsville Vision Clinic for over five years; prior to that she worked at the Morgan Hospital & Medical Center and was secretary for Chief Annee with the Indianapolis Police Department. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Martinsville, the Martha Chapter Order of Eastern Star; the Lady Elks; and American Legion Post 230 Ladies Auxiliary. She also enjoyed her grandchildren.
Survivors include: her mother Eleanor Louise Blackwell of Indianapolis; a son Matthew Carroll of Martinsville; a daughter Tina Marie Carroll of Greenwood; a stepdaughter Danetta Turley of Texas; two brothers, Mike Blackwell of Liberty and Leo Thomas Blackwell of Zionsville; a sister Mary Helen Proos of St. Joseph, Mich.; one granddaughter Christie "Leelee" Fallowfield; and three grandsons, David Carroll, T.J. Carroll, and Adam Jones.
She was preceded in death by her father John Harold Blackwell and her husband Dan L. Turley.
Funeral service will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Costin Funeral Chapel, 539 East Washington, Martinsville, with the Rev. Robert Shaw officiating. Burial will be in New South Park Cemetery, Martinsville.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. today, and between 10-11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
