Ruth E. Floyd, 92, of Bloomfield, passed away at 6:25 p.m. Friday, Oct. 29, 2004 at Bloomington Hospital.
Born Sept. 30, 1912 in Worthington, she was the daughter of Alonzo L. and Mary E. (Joseph) Davis. She had been married to Leslie Floyd, who preceded her in death in 1964.
She was a homemaker. She was a member of Calvertville Concord Baptist Church, Calvertville Missionary Society, and former vice president for the Council at the High Rise.
Survivors include: three daughters, Kay Drake of Bloomfield, Joan Ausman of Avon, and Jane Overby of Indianapolis; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Leslie Floyd, six sisters, two brothers, two grandsons, and one granddaughter.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. on Wednesday at Jenkins and Sons Funeral Home, Bloomfield with the Rev. Galen Judy officiating. Burial will be in Grandview Cemetery, Bloomfield.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 4-8 p.m. on Tuesday, and one hour prior to service Wednesday.
