James Bartlett "Bart" Madison, 89, of Linton, passed away at 3:03 a.m. Sunday, Oct., 31, 2004 at Shakamak Good Samaritan Home in Jasonville.
Born Aug. 20, 1915 in Chicago, Ill., he was the son of Michael and Pauline (Nace) Madison.
He attended the Chicago Art Institute of Illinois and served with the Conservation Corps during World War II. He was a Civil Servant with the U.S. Postal Service and retired from Crane Naval Base. He was a member of the Hand Radio Club of Linton and Florida and a member of the Masonic Lodge of LaGrange, Ill.
Survivors include: a daughter Gale and her husband Larry Freeburg of Mesa Ariz.; a brother Gene and his wife Deb Madison of Palos Park, Ill.; six grandchildren, Deborah Moody, and C.J., Bob Jr., Kate, Lynn and Spencer Peto; six great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Roy and Jack Madison.
There will be no visitation or service.
