Wanda Elizabeth Marie Pitcher, 69, of Linton, passed away at 1:55 p.m. Tuesday, November 2, 2004, at Regional Hospital in Terre Haute.
Born July 29, 1935 in Schereville, she was the daughter of Emil Schiessle and Marie Rutledge.
Wanda was a former owner of the Linton Auction Barn and Mr. Smorgasboard Restaurant. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary in Lowell and the women's bowling association.
Survivors include; her husband Hubert O. Pitcher of Linton; three daughters, Terri Hadley, Cheri Slover, and Jackie Gadberry, all of Linton; two brothers, Jimmy Schiessle of Schereville and Tommy Schiessle of North Carolina; one sister Pat Merrill of Sarasota, Fla.; and six grandchildren, Shane and Travis Hadley, Joie Gadberry, Josh Meurer, Ryan and Evan Slover.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother Vernon Schiessle, and two sisters, Frannie Kiesla and Dorothy Becktel.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the Newkirk's Funeral Home in Dugger with Bro. J. B. Smith officiating. Burial will be in the Morris Chapel Cemetery.
