INDIANAPOLIS ---- Norma Lou Weddle, 75, of Indianapolis, passed away Monday, Nov. 1, 2004.
Born July 4, 1929 in Cicero, she was the daughter of Dallas and Agnes (Kinnaman) Barnhizer. On Aug. 17, 1952, she married Elred "Burr" Weddle. He preceded her in death on May 4, 1992.
She graduated from Jackson Central High School in Hamilton County and from Manchester College. She had a long and successful career in teaching and coaching. She taught students at Warsaw High School, Carmel High School, Manchester College, Brebeuf High School and Pike High School where she retired from as the guidance office secretary. She was a member of Augusta Christian Church in Indianapolis and a member of Kappa Kappa Sigma Sorority.
Survivors include: three sons, Steve Weddle and his wife Laura of Bloomfield, Greg Weddle and his wife Diane of Zionsville, and Kyle Weddle and his wife Laurie of Frankfort Germany; one daughter Annette Lowe of Kauai, Hawaii; one brother John Barnhizer of Richmond; three sisters, Evelyn Conley of Arizona, Rosie Griffin of Illinois, and Kathy Goble of Arizona; and 13 grandchildren, Amelia, Elyse, Elena, AJ, Anna Marie, Joseph, Mary Kate, Haley, Seth, Jacob, Hannah, Noah, and Sarah.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Elred "Burr" Weddle.
A service celebrating her life and faith will be at 11 a.m. on Friday at Augusta Christian Church, 3445 W. 71st St., Indianapolis. Entombment will follow the service Saturday at Lincoln Memory Gardens, Whitestown.
Friends may call from 3-8 p.m. on Thursday at Flanner & Buchanan Funeral Center, 105 W. Pine St., Zionsville.
