Danny R. Miller, 58, of Parsons, Tenn., and formerly of Linton, passed away on Thursday, Nov. 4, 2004 in Parsons, Tenn.
Born Sept. 3, 1946 in Linton, he was the son of Ross and Peggy (Bedwell) Miller.
He was a 1965 graduate of Linton-Stockton High School and received a bachelor's degree at Indiana State University and later a master's degree in Teaching Administration in Tennessee. He taught and was assistant principal at Parsons Middle School, where he was the junior high football coach and where he assisted with the junior high basketball program. He worked at Peabody Coal Company for several years. He was a member of the Linton First Baptist Church, Switz City Masonic Lodge, and BPO Elks in Parsons, Tenn.
Survivors include: his mother Peggy (Bedwell) Miller of Switz City; two sons, Jay Miller and his wife, Charlotte, of Switz City and Michael Miller of Linton; a daughter Kristyn Bridges and her husband, Eric, of Linton; a brother Terry Joe Miller and his wife, Tanya, of Switz City; five grandchildren, Adam, Abram and Jaydan Miller, and Kaleb and Madisyn Bridges; two nephews, Cory and Casey Miller of St. Petersburg, Fla.; and his companion Lisa Garrett of Parsons, Tenn.
He was preceded in death by his father Ross Miller, who passed away in 1992 and a nephew Cody Miller.
Funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Tuesday at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home Linton Chapel with the Rev. Raymond Rader officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery. The Switz City Masonic Lodge will conduct graveside rites.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. on today, and after 9 a.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
