Alzein Louise Winters, 94, passed away at 4:50 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 24, 2004 at the Spring Mill Meadows Nursing Home in Indianapolis.
She was born in Auburn on May 6, 1910, the daughter of Monte Lee and Helen (Ralston) Green.
She was a member of Kappa Alpha Theta Sorority at Indiana University, the Saron United Church of Christ, the Elite Club, Friends of the Library, Tri Kappa (for over 75 years), all of Linton, and the Wednesday Research Club of Jasonville.
Survivors include four daughters, Sandra Lynn Winters of Indianapolis (formerly of Linton), Judith Arden (Tom) Mitchell of Big Sandy, Texas, Margaret Dale (Stephen) Stefancik of Slidell, La., and Cynthia Ann (James R.) Fisher of Indianapolis; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her former husband Lloyd Winters, one grandchild Brian K. Mitchell, two brothers, Aden D. and I. Dale Green, and her parents.
Graveside service will be at 2 p.m. on Monday at Fairview Cemetery in Linton with the Rev. Mike Roth officiating.
Visitation will be held at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home Linton Chapel on Monday from 11 a.m.-1:45 p.m.
