Larry R. Logan, 56, of Lyons, passed away at 1:57 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 25, 2004 at Select Specialty Bloomington.
Born Jan. 24, 1948 in Carmi, Ill., he was the son of Cletis and Mary (Morris) Logan. He was married to Darlene (Dorsey) Logan.
He was an Army veteran of the Vietnam war. He was a security guard for Carl Sandburg in Chicago and a dog catcher in Carmi, Ill. He was also a HAM radio operator (Call # KB9H1F). He was a member of the American Legion of Lyons and AMVETS Post 2000 of Bloomington.
Survivors include: his wife Darlene Logan of Lyons; two sons, David Logan of Lyons and Michael Logan of Hornbeak, Texas; two grandchildren, Faith and Bryan Logan, both of Lyons; and an aunt and uncle, Cecil and Shirley Logan of Carmi, Ill.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral service was at 2 p.m. today at Prairie Chapel Cemetery in Lyons with the Rev. Ralph Thompson officiating. Burial will follow at the cemetery.
Friends called from noon until 2 p.m. today at Jenkins Funeral Home in Lyons. There will be an American Legion service.
