Willanna "Willie" Lou Turpen, 59, of Linton, passed away Friday, Nov. 26, 2004 in Paragon.
Born Oct. 10, 1945 in Linton, she was the daughter of Rufus C. and Mary Ellen (Benevola) Bryant.
She was a 1963 graduate of Linton-Stockton High School and attended Indiana Business College. She was the owner and operator of Fashionable Tans in Linton and formerly worked at Peoples Trust Company in Linton. She was a member of the Church of Christ in Linton.
Survivors include: her husband of 40 years, Dennis L. Turpen of Linton; three daughters, Alicia Turpen of Linton, Nichole and her husband Jeff Franklin of Linton and Heather and her husband Jason Shafford of Linton; two brothers, Richard Bryant of Indianapolis and David "Tony" Bryant of San Antonio, Texas; five grandchildren, Jocelyn Franklin, Mercedes Shafford, Ambry Turpen, Janzen Franklin, and Vanessa Shafford, all at home in Linton; and her father and mother-in-law Lloyd and Thelma Turpen of Linton.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her three sisters, Wilma, Patricia Ann and Lucille Bryant.
Funeral service will be at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home Linton Chapel at 1 p.m. on Tuesday with Brother Jerry Carmichael officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Linton.
Visitation will be from 5-9 p.m. today, and after 10 a.m. until the time of service Tuesday at the funeral home.
