Ruth (MeMe) Gilmore, 77, of Bloomington, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 23, 2004 at Bloomington Hospital.
Born Dec. 1, 1926 in Summerfield, Okla., she was the daughter of Wade and Callie (Carlisle) Hamilton.
She attended high school in Buffalo Valley, Okla., moved to Crane in 1956, and lived in Bloomfield and Bloomington since 1960. She was a longtime employee of The Stork Shop and a member of the Bloomfield Baptist Church, The Argonauts and Tri Kappa Society.
Survivors include: her husband of 59 years Alvin Gilmore of Bloomington; two daughters, Jane Duzan of Bloomfield and Jean Murphy of Bloomington; three grandchildren, Angela Murphy and Matt Murphy, both of Bloomington, and Mike Duzan of Bloomfield; four great-grandchildren, Madilyn Murphy, Derek Murphy, Tyrae Murphy and Jamari Murphy, all of Bloomington; two sisters and their husbands, Blanch and Wayne Matthews of Tulsa, Okla. and Juanita and Russell Bland of Bloomington; and two brothers and their wives, Frank and Geneva Hamilton of McAlester, Okla., and Steve and Jean Hamilton of Bloomington.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral service was Saturday at Allen Funeral Home in Bloomington with burial at Valhalla Memory Gardens in Bloomington.
