Norma E. Evans, 79, of Linton passed at 4:53 a.m. on Sunday, Oct. 3, at Union Hospital in Terre Haute.
She was born July 11, 1925 in Linton, the daughter of Roy B. and Evelyn G. (Taylor) Pershing.
She worked as a bookkeeper, accountant and private secretary for years. She and her husband, the late John F. Adams, owned Dice Manufacturing Machine Shop in Dugger. She liked to fish, as well as play bingo and euchre.
She attended the First Christian Church in Dugger.
Survivors include two sons, John "Tim" Evans and daughter-in-law Sue Evans and Kurt D. Evans and daughter-in-law Tracy Evans, all of Jasonville; three grandchildren, Tammy Evans, of Indianapolis, Scott A. Lower, of Linton, and Steven M. Lower, Jasonville, and one great-granddaughter, Brianna Jo Lower, of Linton.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one sister, Winifred "Winnie" Wools and two brothers, Paul and Dale Pershing.
Graveside service will be at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday at Fairview Cemetery in Linton.
Friends may call at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home, Linton Chapel from 4-8 p.m. on Tuesday. There will be no visitation before the service Wednesday.
