Paul Waggoner Holtsclaw, 76, of Lyons, passed away at 2:35 p.m. Monday, Oct. 4, 2004 at St. Vincent Hospital, Indianapolis.
Born July 29, 1928 in Greene County, he was the son of Rex Martin and Sarah Elizabeth (Waggoner) Holtsclaw. He was married to Ella Mae (O'Harver) Holtsclaw.
He was an U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. He was a self-employed farmer and truck driver for the Indiana State Highway Department. He was a member of the Lyons United Methodist Church, Switz City Masonic Lodge, Bloomfield Odd Fellows Lodge, Lyons Order of the Eastern Star, and Grant Township Advisory Board.
Survivors include: his wife Ella Mae (O'Harver) Holtsclaw of Lyons; one daughter Susan Jean and her husband Anders Johansson of Lafayette; two sons, Steven Paul and his wife Shirley Darlene Holtsclaw, and Gary Wayne Holtsclaw, all of Lyons; three grandsons, William Michael and his wife Maria Teresa Harrison of Elkmont, Ala., Dustin Kane Holtsclaw of Indianapolis, and Jeremy Alan Holtsclaw of Ann Arbor, Mich.; and one granddaughter Kristy Lynn Harrison of Lafayette.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. on Thursday at Jenkins & Sons Funeral Home Bloomfield with the Rev. Bill VanHorn and the Rev. Don Reed officiating. Burial will be at Walnut Grove Cemetery with military graveside rights by Bloomfield American Legion Post 196.
Friends may call from 4-9 p.m. today, and one hour prior to service Thursday at the funeral home. Switz City Masonic Lodge services will be at 6:30 p.m. today, and Bloomfield Odd Fellows services will be at 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
