Kenneth E. Bracken, 72, of Linton, passed away Tuesday morning, Oct. 12, 2004 at Veteran's Hospital in Indianapolis.
Born Nov. 30, 1931 in Indianapolis, he was the son of James and Dorothy (Humbles) Bracken. He married Brenda M. (Sweazey) Bracken on June 22, 1972.
Kenneth worked as a security guard for Allied Security. He was an Army veteran and a member of Linton American Legion Post 22.
Survivors include: his wife Brenda M. (Sweazey) Bracken of Linton; two sons, Kenneth "Skeet" Bracken of California and Mike Bracken of Indianapolis; four daughters, Karen Collins of Grand Rapids, Mich., Vera Darrah of Linton, Christine Rogers of Linton, and Kylie Gilbert of Linton; two sisters Kathryn Fultz of Filmore and Patricia Beech of Indianapolis; one brother Jack Bracken of Cranston, R.I.; seven grandchildren, Justin, Danielle, Hali, Kayla, Nicholas, Christopher and Austin; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters Dorothy Carnes and Betty Daniels, and two brothers James "Bud" Bracken and Ernest Bracken.
Military graveside service will be conducted by American Legion Post 22 at Fairview Cemetery in Linton at 11 a.m. on Friday.
