Grady E. Phillips, 90, of Linton, passed away at 4:53 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 27, 2004 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Knox County.
Born March 21, 1914 in Meridian, Miss., he was the son of Grady and Lillian (Guy) Phillips. He married Bertie (Page) Phillips on Feb. 6, 1935 in Quitman, Miss. She passed away June 28, 1999.
She was a sales manager of McMahan Furniture Store, Baldwin Park, Miss. He was of the Methodist faith.
Survivors include: a daughter-in-law Barbara Phillips of Linton; a grandson Daniel Grady Phillips and his wife Patricia of Vincennes; a granddaughter Kimberly Ann Robison of Linton; three great-grandchildren, Kyle McKee and Olivia and Madeline Robison; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Bertie (Page) Phillips, and one son Daniel Grady Phillips.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. on Friday at Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel, Linton with the Rev. Greg Orman officiating. Burial will be Monday, Nov. 1 at 1 p.m. at Magnolia Cemetery in Meridian, Miss.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 5-9 p.m. today, and from 9 a.m. until the hour of service Friday.
