Charlyn Jane James, 79, of Kokomo and formerly of Linton, passed away Monday, September 6, 2004 at the Waterford Place Nursing Home in Kokomo.
Born March 7, 1925 in Tipton County, she was the daughter of Charles and Marie O. (Molden) Angel. She married Eugene A. James on March 31, 1958. He passed away on November 10, 2003.
She was a homemaker and a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and past treasurer of that organization. Jane also belonged to the Women of the Moose, Delta Theta Tau Sorority, and was an avid bingo player.
Survivors include: a son Victor L. Brown of Tipton; a daughter Charlyn Stacey of Tipton; two brothers, Don Angel of Tipton and Joe Angel of Linton; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Eugene James and a sister Evelyn Larner.
Private family services have been held and she was buried at Fairview Cemetery in Tipton. Young-Nichols Funeral Home, Tipton, was in charge of the arrangements.
