NEW CASTLE ---- Ruby D. Woolsey, 84, of New Castle, passed away Tuesday morning, Sept. 14, 2004 at Henry County Memorial Hospital following an extended illness.
Born April 22, 1920 in Jasonville, she was the daughter of Ira and Edith (Barth) Craig.
She retired from Dana Corporation after over 30 years of service. She was a member of the order of the Eastern Star in New Castle. She enjoyed camping, fishing, traveling and crocheting. For the past year, she had resided at the Addison House in New Castle.
Survivors include: two daughters, Mary Lou and her husband Robert L. "Joe Bill" Atkinson of Dublin and Dianna and her husband Jerry Bunch of New Castle; five grandchildren, William Eric Atkinson, Robert L. Atkinson, Jr., Terri Sonnier, Jerry Bunch, Jr., and Brenda and her husband Larry Antic; seven great-grandchildren; a sister Reba Riggs of New Castle; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband William Woolsey, Jr., who passed away in 2000, and an infant sister.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. on Thursday at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Home in New Castle with the Rev. Thomas Current officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hills Memory Gardens, New Castle.
Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
