Ruth Eva Bucher, 85, of Bloomfield, passed away at 8:20 p.m., Aug. 1, 2004 at her residence.
Born Jan. 31, 1919 in Greene County, she was the daughter of William Ed and Doshia (Hasler) Summerville. She had been married to Clyde Bucher, who passed away Feb. 16, 1956.
She was a retired matron at the Bloomfield High School.
Survivors include: five daughters, Barbara Jean Peterson of Hartwell, Ga., Anne Bray of Owensburg, Betty Winklepleck of Odon, Kay Earl of Nashville, and Patty Hartsburg of Scotland; 13 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; two step-great-grandsons; and one brother Robert L. Summerville of Bloomfield.
She was preceded in death by her husband Clyde Bucher; her parents; one brother Russell Summerville; and two grandchildren, Greg Winklepleck and Regena Bray.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. on Wednesday at Jenkins Funeral Home Bloomfield with the Rev. Billy Ed Hostettler officiating. Burial will be at Scotland Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. today, and from noon until the hour of service Wednesday at the funeral home.
