Dustin Paul Staggs, 18, of Solsberry, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 17, 2004.
Born May 14, 1986 in Bloomington, he was the son of Robert Lee Staggs and Kelly Ann (Sullivan) Staggs.
He is survived by both parents; his brother, Jacob Lee Staggs; his grandparents, Roger L. Staggs and Judy Staggs, Paul R. Sullivan, Jan C. (Hatton) Sullivan; his uncles, Paul R. Staggs, Michael D. Sullivan and Matt Runyon; his aunts, Linda (Sullivan) Runyon, Holly (Meadows) Staggs; and cousins Thatcher Runyon, Hanna Runyon and Abie Staggs.
He attended Eastern High School and planned to finish his schooling at Aurora this year while working with Huber Construction.
He loved the outdoors, spending as much time as possible doing what he loved best, fishing and hunting. He was also an avid race fan, who recently attended the Brickyard 400, in which he saw his most favorite driver, Dale Earnhardt, Jr.
In school he volunteered to work with the deaf and mentally handicapped children.
Funeral service will be at noon on Friday at Deremiah-Frye Mortuary, Greene & Harrell Chapel, 700 Gourley Pike, Bloomington. Burial will be at Valhalla Memory Gardens, Bloomington.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Donations may be given to the Bloomington Boys & Girls Club in his memory.
