Dorothy Mae Rose, 81, of Indianapolis, passed away at 12:15 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 23, 2004 at her residence.
Born Sept. 28, 1922 in Indianapolis, she was the daughter of Curtis and Sara (Beckham) Dearing. She was married to Dwight Rose, who passed away Nov. 1, 1997.
She was a homemaker and a member of Switz City Pentecostal Church.
Survivors include: two sons, Robert Lee Rose of Lyons and Freddie Rose of Tulip; seven daughters, Virginia Mae Akers of Indianapolis, Shirley Ann Miller of Goshen, Patricia Kay Carmichael of Martinsville, Charlene Rose of Indianapolis, Darlene Helms of Indianapolis, Barbara Jean Moore of Franklin and Kathlean Ball of Indianapolis; one sister Virginia Charles of Carmel; 29 grandchildren; 45 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Dwight Rose, two sons Everett Lee Rose and Michael Lee Rose, five brothers and one sister.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. on Thursday at Jenkins & Sons Funeral Home Bloomfield with the Rev. Samuel Hill officiating. Burial will be at Prairie Chapel Cemetery, R.R. Bloomfield.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. today, and one hour prior to service Thursday at the funeral home.
