Kyle R. Arnett, 23, of Sullivan, passed away at 6:09 p.m. Sunday, July 4, 2004 at Sullivan County Community Hospital.
Born May 25, 1981 in Sullivan, he was the son of Terry D. and Sandy D. (Pirtle) Arnett.
He was the manager of the Bobe's Trattoria Italiano Restaurant in Sullivan and served on the Sullivan Volunteer Fire Department. He belonged to the Cross Roads Community Church, Moose Lodge and Sons of the American Legion. He was very active in the basketball league and in the Sullivan Biddy Ball program. A 2000 graduate of Sullivan High School, he had been awarded the Adam Sajko Award for Outstanding Football Player, was the football and basketball captain, as well as being named to the Indiana All State Football Team. He was also the Prom King in 2000.
Survivors include: his parents Terry and Sandy Arnett; one brother Dustin D. Arnett of Sullivan; grandmother Charlene Kimmell of Sullivan; grandfather Charles Kimmell of Sullivan; several aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents John H. and Flora M. Pirtle, and Gerald Arnett
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. on Thursday in the Sullivan High School auditorium with the Rev. Eddie Hammond officiating. Burial will be at Center Ridge Cemetery Sullivan.
Friends may call from 3-8 p.m. on Wednesday at Alexander-Kean Funeral Home Sullivan and after noon at the high school.
