Ross W. "Jack" Gainey, 86, of Spring Hill, Tenn., and formerly of Bloomfield, passed away at 7:40 a.m., July 8, 2004 at his residence.
Born March 18, 1918 in Scotland, Ind., he was the son of Samuel Clement and Oma Frances (Britton) Gainey.
He was an Army veteran of World War II, a machinist for NWSC Crane and a member of the Harvest Community Church of Bloomfield.
Survivors include: one daughter Tonda Gainey-Siders of Spring Hill, Tenn.; four sisters, Ruby Stanton of Gentryville, Leona Hancock of Sandborn, Eurtis Hasler of Newberry and Winoma Gainey of Bloomfield; and three grandchildren, Austin Keith Siders, Andrea Lauren Siders and Ashton Leigh Siders, all of Spring Hill, Tenn.
He was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers and two sisters.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. on Sunday at Harvest Community Church Bloomfield with the Rev. Billy Ed Hostettler and the Rev. Jeff Williams officiating. Burial will be in Scotland, Ind.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. on Saturday at Jenkins & Sons Funeral Home Bloomfield and one hour prior to service at Harvest Community Church on Sunday.
