SPENCER - Manford I. Hamlin, 90, of Spencer, passed away Tuesday, July 20, 2004 at Gosport Nursing Home.
Born May 28, 1914 in Bloomfield, he was the son of Charles E. and Mary Caroline (Ritter) Hamlin. He had been married to Beulah (Sanders) Hamlin, who preceded him in death December 16, 1995.
He had been retired from Chevrolet and was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene.
Survivors include: three sons, Don Hamlin and his wife Sue from Spencer, David Hamlin and his wife Sue from Spencer, and Steve Hamlin and his wife Ann from Bloomington; three daughters, Barbara Buker from Bloomington, Joan Marsh and her husband Tom from Spencer, and Norma Abbott and her husband Jerry from Ellettsville; three sisters, Esther Nolley from Corpus Christi, Texas, Hildred Wolfe from Linton, and Carol England from Speedway; fourteen grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife Beulah Hamlin and a brother Maurice Hamlin.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Friday at West & Parrish & Pedigo Funeral Home, Spencer with Rev. David Warren officiating. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery Spencer.
Friends may call Thursday from 4-8 p.m. and on Friday from 8:30-11 a.m. at the funeral home.
