John "Popeye" Buskirk, Jr., 76, of Worthington, passed away at 6 a.m. on Sunday, Dec. 28, 2003 at his residence.
Born Dec. 7, 1927 in Greene County, he was the son of John W. and Blanche (Conway) Buskirk.
He formerly worked at Don Wilson Standard and Worthington Tire, both in Worthington, and Wolfe's City Service in Linton. He was a Korean War veteran, and a member of the VFW and American Legion in Worthington.
Survivors include: four sons, Jeff Buskirk of Bicknell, Mike Buskirk of Poland, Terry Dyer of Palestine, Ill., and Andy Dyer of Westphalia; 12 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two brothers, Hubert Buskirk of Worthington and David Buskirk of Shoals; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Charles and Rex Buskirk.
Military graveside service will be conducted by the Worthington VFW at Worthington Cemetery at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday.
