Clyde Edmondson, 83, of Jasonville, passed away 11:52 p.m. on Thursday, June 3, 2004 at Sullivan County Community Hospital in Sullivan.
Born March 26, 1921 in Jasonville, he was the son of Edgar Nelson and Zelma Evon (Chittendon) Edmondson.
A veteran of World War II with the U.S. Navy/Coast Guard, he retired from Pfizer in 1981. He was a member of NACCA, Jasonville American Legion Post 172 and VFW Post 972 of Terre Haute, where he was a Past Commander and lifetime member.
Survivors include: his wife Mary Edmondson, who he married Oct. 20, 1972; one daughter Elizabeth Ann Smith of San Antonio, Texas; two sons, Randall Gene Edmondson of San Antonio, Texas and Brian D. Edmondson of Jasonville; two step-daughters, Patricia Johnson of South Bend and Georgia Kiger of Sullivan; nine grandchildren, Colleen Edmondson Floyd, Brad Edmondson, Brian Keith Edmondson, Kathleen Smith, Kristeena R. Smith Hemmersbook, Keith Robert Smith, Jeremy Wayne Edmondson, Andrew Michael Edmondson and Joshua Robert Edmondson; four step-grandchildren, Edward Ashcraft, William Willard, Jenifer Kiger and Sarah Keyes; two great-grandchildren; three step great-grandsons; two sisters, Erma Worth of Jasonville and Evelyn Carlton of Baltimore, Md.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife Colleen Edmondson; two sisters, Cecily Fox and Mary Hart; three brothers, Carl Edmondson, Buck Edmondson and Bill Edmondson.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. on Tuesday at McClanahan-Lee Funeral Home in Jasonville with Pastor Don Ransford officiating. Burial will be at Lebanon Cemetery in Midland with military graveside service by Terre Haute VFW Post 972.
Visitation will be from 5-9 p.m. to, and 9 a.m. until the time of service Tuesday at the funeral home.
