Maurice H. Ritter, 86, of Bloomfield, passed away at 12:20 a.m. on June 5, 2004 at Glenburn Home.
Born March 15, 1918 in Bloomfield, he was the son of Morris W. and Golda (Heaton) Ritter. He had been married to Edith V. (Kyle) Ritter, who passed away in 1998.
He served the country during World War II in the U.S. Air Force. He worked in electroplating production for Allied Signal in Phoenix, Ariz., and for Allison Engineering in Indianapolis. He was a member of Bloomfield United Methodist Church, Greene County Historical Society. Linton Elks Lodge and a volunteer fireman in Arizona.
Survivors include: one son Larry E. Ritter of Phoenix, Ariz.; two daughters, Renae Ritter of Chandler, Ariz., and Dawn Reed of Williams, Ariz.; two sisters, Olive Wade of Bloomfield and Virginia Hash of Indianapolis; one brother Robert L. Ritter of Greenwood; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Edith; two sisters, Ona Haywood and Lucille Landers and one brother William Ritter.
There will be no public visitation, and a memorial service will be at a later date at Bloomfield United Methodist Church. Jenkins & Sons Funeral Home Bloomfield is in charge of arrangements.
