Bonnie Chestnut, 69, of Terre Haute and formerly of Washington, passed away at 10:55 a.m. Monday, June 7, 2004 at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.
Born Nov. 17, 1934 in Daviess County, she was the daughter of Charles and Rose (Lawyer) Fidler. She had been married to John Chestnut, who preceded her in death Jan. 2, 2003.
Retired since 1997, she was a dietary manager who worked at Daviess Community Hospital for eight years and Greene County General Hospital for 19 years. She had attended Plainville/Washington Schools.
Survivors include: two daughters, Coleen Chestnut of Terre Haute and Rebecca Rehmel of Linton; one grandchild; two sisters, Dixie Bridges and Eleanor Brown, both of Washington; four brothers, Ronald Fidler of Washington, Robert Fidler of Bedford, Bill Fidler of Linton and Charles Fidler of Indianapolis.
She was preceded in death by her husband John Chestnut; two sons, William and Jerry Chestnut; one sister Marcella Wilson; one brother Donald Fidler; an infant brother Randall Fidler and an infant twin sister Donna Fidler.
Funeral service will be 1 p.m. on Saturday at Poindexter-Hall & McClure/Washington Chapel Washington with the Rev. George Johnson officiating. Burial will be at Sugarland Memory Gardens.
Friends may call from 9 a.m. to the time of service Saturday at the funeral home.
