Norma Jean Letsinger, 79, of Jasonville, passed away at 7 p.m. on Sunday, June 20, 2004 at Shakamak Good Samaritan Nursing Center in Jasonville.
Born June 28, 1924 in Jasonville, she was the daughter of Harry and Della (Phipps) St. John. She married Paul Letsinger on Aug. 31, 1946.
She was a homemaker and attended the Friendly Grove Baptist Church. She spent her days serving the Lord, devoted to the care of her family, and loving on the grandkids. She also loved to sing old gospel songs.
Survivors include: her husband Paul Letsinger of Jasonville; one daughter and son-in-law Paula and Joe Wheaton of Jasonville; one son and daughter-in-law Steve and Chris Letsinger of Jasonville; four sisters, Merle McQueary of Jasonville, Eva Harvey of Jasonville, Margaret Hastings of Winter Haven, Fla., and Clodene Bitz of Jasonville; seven grandchildren, Beth Lawrence, Ben and Lisa Wheaton, Erin and Larry Coleman, Kacy Wheaton and Nathan Letsinger; three great-grandchildren; one brother Raymond St. John of Montgomery, Ill.; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister Blanche Moss, two brothers, Carl and Glen St. John, and an infant brother Albert.
Graveside service is at 2 p.m. on Wednesday at the Lebanon Cemetery in Midland with the Rev. Harold Thomas officiating.
There will be no visitation.
