MARSHALL, Ill. - Marvin Lee Dicus, 77, of Marshall, Ill., passed away at 9:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 22, 2004 at Highland Manor Senior Center at Perrysville, Ind.
Born Oct. 27, 1926 in Jasonville, he was the son of Alvin and Emma (Daugherty) Dicus. He married Lettie Grace (Sturm) Dicus on June 19, 1945 in Terre Haute.
He was retired from FS at Marshall and attended the River of Life Church at West Terre Haute. He enjoyed the hobbies of bicycling, gardening and antiques. He will be long remembered for the antique car he often drove for pleasure and parades. He enjoyed playing his juice harp at church.
Survivors include: his wife Lettie; a son and daughter-in-law, William Dale and Laurie Dicus of Perrysville; a daughter and son-in-law, Anna Lea and Charles Brenton of Santa Fe, N.M.; four grandchildren, Steven Lee and his wife April Brenton of Citrus Springs, Fla., Candy Lynn Brenton of Santa Fe, N.M., Derrick Dicus and Derrin Lee Dicus both of Terre Haute; two great-grandchildren, Amanda Jean Brenton and Rebecca Lynn Brenton both of Citrus Springs, Fla.; two brothers, Wayne Dicus of Terre Haute and Andrew Dicus of Jasonville; two half brothers, Merle Wilkins and Albert Wilkins both of Buffalo N.Y.; and two half sisters, Emma Fry of Linton and Carolyn Fry of Jasonville.
Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday at Pearce Funeral Home, 314 S. 6th St., Marshall, Ill., with the Bro. Robert Maskell officiating. Burial will be in Zion Cemetery, rural Marshall.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. on Friday, and from 7 a.m. until the time of service Saturday at the funeral home.
