Geneva M. Tribby, 92, of Jasonville, passed away at 10:10 p.m. on Monday June 28, 2004 at Greene County General Hospital in Linton.
Born Aug. 31, 1911 in Sullivan County, she was the daughter of Oscar and Pearl (Wyman) Keene. She was married to Dexter O. Tribby, who preceded her in death on Aug. 1, 1975.
She was a 1930 Hymera High School graduate and was a cafeteria worker for Robinson, Ill., schools. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Jasonville, the Pythian Sisters and Ladies Bingo & Lunch Club.
Survivors include: one son Emory "Pete" Tribby and his wife Roberta of Farmersburg; a daughter-in-law Joyce Tribby of Jasonville; one sister Effie Nash of Terre Haute; a sister-in-law Hilda Keene of Jasonville; four grandchildren, Robert E. Tribby, Jr. and his wife Karen, Michael A. Tribby and his wife Tanya, Bruce T. Tribby and Andrew J. Tribby; four step-grandchildren, Joshua Gioe, Aunjalee Gioe, Tracy Russell and Gregory Price; four great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Dexter O. Tribby; one son Robert E. Tribby, Sr., on Sept. 4, 1986; two brothers, Lester Keene and Emory Keene; and two infant brothers.
Funeral service is at 10:30 a.m. on Friday at McClanahan-Lee Funeral Home in Jasonville with the Rev. Brad West officiating. Burial will be in Lebanon Cemetery in Midland.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. on Thursday.
