Phyllis M. Allen, 66, of Koleen, passed away Friday at the Indiana University Medical Center in Indianapolis.
Born Sept. 29, 1937 in Lawrence County, she was the daughter of Tom and Glodie (Simmerman) Super.
She was the retired postmaster for Koleen, a member of the Koleen Union Church, and a member of the Koleen Ladies Aid.
Survivors include, her husband Max E. Allen of Koleen; two daughters, Sheila Corn of Bloomfield and Lisa Allen of Bloomington; one son Mark Allen of Koleen; four granddaughters, Ashley Allen and her daughter Rylan, Allison Scherschel and Adalie Scherschel; and two grandsons, Nathan Corn and Derek Corn.
Her parents preceded her in death.
Graveside service for family and friends were Sunday at Koleen Howell Cemetery where the Rev. Merle Craig officiated. There was no visitation.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Koleen Howell Cemetery Fund to help build a new fence. Contributions may be made in care of Allen Funeral Home, 3000 E. Third St., Bloomington, Ind., 47401.
