Everett Dwight (Bert) Bedwell, 79, of Roseville, Calif., died April 23 in Roseville Hospital.
Born July 9, 1924 in Carlisle, he was the son of Dwight and Lucy (Lace) Bedwell.
He was a Major in the U.S. Marine Corps, retired. He was a veteran of World War II, Korea and Vietnam, serving as a USMC officer for 24 years. He had lived in California many years, where he was a successful real estate business owner. During his retirement he enjoyed working with stained, leaded glass; traveling in his motor home; bluegrass music, and golfing. He was a member of the Roseville Elks Lodge 2248, Citrus Heights Lions club and a 50-year Mason of Lodge 86 F&AM in Indiana.
Survivors include his wife of 28 years, Chloe Bedwell; his first wife, June Hineman of Linton; a daughter, Lana Robertson of rural Carlisle; a son, Krys Bedwell of Citrus Heights, Calif.; step-sons Jeff Chapman of Gadsden, Ala., and Todd Chapman of Citrus Heights; several nieces and nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A celebration of his life will be at 2 p.m. on Sunday at Roseville Elks Lodge, 3000 Brady Lane, Roseville, Calif.

The Cochranes Chapel of the Roses, 103 Lincoln Street, Roseville, Calif., was in charge of arrangements.
