Renda White, 91, of Newark, passed away at 11:05 a.m. May 16, 2004, at her residence.
Born June 29, 1912 in Pikeville, Ky., she was the daughter of Joe and Octava (Smith) Taylor. She had been married to Walker White, who preceded her in death May 12, 1978.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Church of God.
Survivors include two sons, Fox Henry White and his wife Mary of Avon Lake, Ohio, and Mont White and his wife Nancy of Solsberry; five daughters; Shelby Willis and her husband Don of Prestonburg, Ky., Eula White of Solsberry, Gladys Ryan of Bloomington, Alice New and her husband Jack of Spencer, and Margaret Hoover and her husband Dennis of Solsberry; one brother Joney Taylor of Bloomington; two sisters, Truly Dixon and Ivy Anderson, both of Bloomington; 25 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; eight great-great grandchildren; one great-great-great grandson; two daughters-in-law, Betty White of Pikeville, Ky., and Eva White Cain of Solsberry; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband; six sons, Hubert, Clifton, Garner, Ballard, Bill Joe, and Stoney White; three sisters; two brothers; five grandchildren; and her parents.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. on Wednesday at Jenkins & Sons Funeral Home in Bloomfield with the Rev. Gary Fiscus officiating. Burial will be at Newark Cemetery.
Friends may call fro 4-8 p.m. today, and from noon Wednesday until time of service at the funeral home.
