SEBRING, Fla. ---- Viola June Hobbs, 86, of Sebring, Fla., and formerly of Jasonville, passed away May 12, 2004.
Born June 27, 1917 in Cleveland, Ohio, she was the daughter of Viola and Warren Light. She had been married to Virgil Hobbs, who preceded her in death on June 12, 1961.
Viola had lived most of her life in Indianapolis and Jasonville.
She was a homemaker and of the Christian faith.
Survivors include; four daughters, Virginia Burton of Sebring, Fla., Roma Blanton and her husband Don of Switz City, Ava Starnes and her husband Robert of Lyons, and Carol Smith and her husband Ben of Mooresville; one step-daughter Geraldine (Walker) Thompson of Ashland, Ky.; special friend and caregiver Harold Secrest of Jasonville; 10 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Virgil; twin sister Althea Streeval; infant son Bobby; daughter Mary Riggle; grandsons Robert Burton and Danny Holtsclaw Dudley; and son-in-law John Burton.
Cremation took place in Florida at the Dowden Funeral Home in Sebring.
