Marian L. Holtsclaw, 91, of Bloomfield, passed away Wednesday, March 31, 2004 at 10:41 p.m. at Bloomington Hospital.
Born Sept. 28, 1912 in Bedford, she was the daughter of Alfred W. and Lillie L. (Hodges) Phillips.
She was retired from the Indiana University Food Service Department, a retired salesperson with Eaton Monument Co., and a homemaker. She was a member of the Sylvania Wesleyan Church and The Treasured Friends Homemakers Club in Eastern Greene County.
Survivors include two sons, Kermit E. Holtsclaw and his wife Bernadene of Bloomfield, Philip W. Holtsclaw and his wife Dianna of Bloomfield; three daughters, Janice A. Reece and husband Kenneth of Martinsville, Jeanette Vermilya and husband James of Indianapolis, and Frances J. Laubsch and husband Greg of Bloomfield; one sister, Esther Roberts of Bloomington; 22 grandchildren; 42 great grandchildren; nine step-great grandchildren; and six great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edison Holtsclaw, who passed away July 1, 1991; one infant son; one infant daughter; one brother; one sister; and her parents.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. on Sunday at Sylvania Wesleyan Church with the Rev. Bob England and the Rev. Bud Miller officiating. Burial will follow at Ridgeport Cemetery.
Friends may call from 3-8 p.m. on Saturday, and from 1 p.m. until the time of service at Sylvania Wesleyan Church.
