BLOOMINGTON ---- Maurice L. Ruth, 75, of Bloomington, passed away Saturday, April 3, 2004, at 2:55 a.m. at his residence.
Born April 12, 1928 at Bloomington, he was the son of Harry and Leona (Bridges) Ruth Johnson.
He was the retired president and CEO of Grissom Credit Union in Peru. He was a Solsberry High School graduate, a member of the Solsberry American Legion, Allegan Masonic Lodge 111 F&AM of Michigan, a lifetime member of the Scottish Rite in the Valley of Grand Rapids, and a lifetime member of Elks Alleram Michigan 1621.
Survivors include his wife, Chloe (Baker) Ruth of Bloomington; two sons, David Ruth and his wife Debbie of Lafayette and Ronald Ruth and his wife Susan of Buford, S.C.; one daughter, Teresa Spencer and her husband Kelly of Indianapolis; on step-daughter, Pamela Gordon and her husband Bob of Bloomington; four grandchildren, Claire Spencer and Patrick Spencer, both of Indianapolis, and Owen Ruth-Buford and Rachel Ruth-Buford, both of South Carolina; one step-granddaughter, Rachel Martin of Bloomington; one sister, Norma Halstead of Bloomington; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Donald Ruth, and his parents.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. on Wednesday at Jenkins & Sons Funeral Home in Bloomfield. Burial will follow at Solsberry Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. on Tuesday, and from 10 a.m. until the time of service Wednesday.
