Mae Jean VanHentenryck, 81, of Bloomfield, passed away on Saturday, April 10, 2004 at 7:45 a.m. at Regional Medical Center in Orangeburg, S.C.
Born Sept. 17, 1922 in Chicago, Ill., she was the daughter of Harold and Lulu Mae (Allison) Lathrop.
She was a retired cook for Bloomington Hospital and a member of the Word of Life Fellowship Bloomfield Full Gospel Church.
Survivors include four sons, George VanHentenryck of Seymour, Joseph VanHentenryck of Bloomfield, Victor VanHentenryck of Bloomfield, and Pierre' VanHentenryck of Worthington; three daughters, Dorothy Biering of Holly Hill, S.C., Ann Brown of Monkes, S.C., and Jean Lott of Bloomfield; two sisters, Dorothy Beals of Des Plaines, Ill., and Violet Hendrickson of Switz City; 30 grandchildren; 42 great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George VanHentenrcyk, who passed away in May 1963; two brothers; 10 sisters; two grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and her parents.
Funeral service will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Word of Life Fellowship Bloomfield Full Gospel Church with the Rev. Eugene Helms officiating. Burial will follow at Dishman Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. on Tuesday, and from noon until the time of service Wednesday at the church.
