Harold Boone, 79, of Dugger, passed away Wednesday April 14, 2004 at 4:35 a.m. at his residence.
Born April 7, 1925 in Sullivan County, he was the son of Hosea and Pearl Pansy (Leckie) Boone.
He was a World War II Army veteran, retired from NWSC Crane, a member of the Dugger American Legion Post 139, VFW Post 2459 in Sullivan, Eagles in Bloomington, and the Bethel United Methodist Church in Dugger.
Survivors include two sisters, Gladys Daniels of Dugger and Lovenia Bushel of Evansville; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and his step-mother, Hazel Boone.
Funeral service will be a 1 p.m. on Friday at Newkirk's Funeral Home in Dugger with the Rev. Cletus Bough officiating. Burial will follow in Hickory Cemetery with military graveside rites.
Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. on Thursday.
