Erma L. (Bond) Beck, 84, of Jasonville, passed away on Friday, April 16, 2004 at her residence.
Born May 15, 1919 in Jasonville, she was the daughter of William D. and Juanita D. (Stahl) Bond.
She was retired from Peoples Trust Company Bank, Jasonville Branch, after 33 years. She also worked at Bob Thomas' grocery store, Houser's Grocery; with her parents who owned Bond's Ice House; and she and her husband were owner/operators of Beck's Drive-In Restaurant. She was a member of the Jasonville Chapter of OES 293.
Survivors include one daughter, Sue Hubbell and her husband John of Jasonville; three grandchildren, Sherry S. McQueary and her husband Kent of Lafayette, Jon R. Hubbell of Jasonville, and Michael D. Hubbell and his wife Stacey of Linton; 10 great-grandchildren; a niece; and four nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert "Bob" Beck, whom she married June 11, 1941, who died Dec. 12, 1986; one sister, Mary L. Hoffman; and one great-grandchild.
Funeral service was Sunday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Harold Thomas officiating at the McClanahan-Lee Funeral Home in Jasonville. Burial followed at Worthington Cemetery.
